Spent some time this afternoon on the National Mall this afternoon taking some pictures. It was absolutely a winter day, but the sun made it seem warmer then it probably was. When you got into the shade you were reminded of what the temperature was outside.
Yesterday was a nice day outside and I felt like going for a walk. I ended up wandering down to the Marine Corps War Memorial better known as the Iwo Jima Memorial and arrived just in time for some great lighting. I took five pictures that I think turned out really cool.
I used my tripod and remote clicker to get this really long exposure. I love the transparency of the flag from it blowing in the wind.
I was at the falls for the quite possibly the best time of day. I love how the colors contrast with the white in the water from the falls. More pictures from my trip to Niagara Falls are on Flickr
I went to Boston for WordCamp Boston where I presented on Automating your front end development workflow. I followed that up with the White Sox playing the Red Sox and my first trip to Fenway. The White Sox might have lost, but it was still a lot of fun. Here are some of my favorite pictures from the trip.
The water from Niagra Falls flows with such hard circles, it almost looks like clay before giving way to the raw power of the falls.
The day after BarCamp News Innovation Philly I took a walkabout Philadelphia with two friends. I got some pretty cool pictures as well.
